A Message from Our president

Planning for Celebrations

How are you planning to celebrate the upcoming holidays? It certainly feels, and will most likely look, different. I took for granted the many celebrations during this time of year. I loved being the host for dinners with various friends and family. I enjoy cooking and sharing time with special people in my life. In addition, I had times and ways that had become my rituals for these celebrations. This year I’m considering how to shift those. I’m even considering putting up my holiday wreath and lights early. In doing so, this year can have a special tone and meaning because it is different.  Connecting with important people will still happen. It is wonderful to hear their voice(s) and sometimes see their face(s) because it fills my soul. What shifts will you make and how can you make connections in a different way to celebrate the holidays? We will make it through this if we act with care towards those around us and ourselves.

I wish you the Best during the Holiday Season. You are a wonderful part of my community bringing a smile to my face and heart.

Thank you!

Deanna Stouder
SFBAC President 2020

Program & Event Spotlight

Crisis (noun): a time of intense difficulty, trouble, or danger
In this highly stressful time of “sheltering in place,” uncertainty, and disruption, many of us and our clients are experiencing elevated levels of anxiety, intense difficulty, or crisis.

Crisis is traumatic and represents a profound change to a person’s fundamental feelings of security. Crisis can be catalytic and leave enormous change in its wake. Crises also generate tremendous energy - physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Come learn from a Crisis Management expert, Meredith Wilson Parfet, ways to harness and leverage the energy of crises. Offered on January 13th from 7-8 pm.

Chapter News

Grateful for your service

The SFBAC Board is grateful for Cynthia Gregory’s service as our Communications Director. Cynthia joined the board in June 2019 and assisted us through several huge transitions. Her talents as a writer, communicator, and coach helped us as we transformed our newsletter, website, and social media. Cynthia is now refocusing on her own writing. We wish her all the best.

Thank you Cynthia for all your work with the board and in service to our SFBAC community. We wish you continued success.

Join our Team!

We aspire to have a meaningful, inclusive, and collaborative board representing the full spectrum and diversity of our membership.

It’s almost that time of the year to revisit your goals, set new intentions and create meaningful New Year's resolutions! (and hope that 2021 is not as unexpected as 2020!).

ICF San Francisco Bay Area Chapter offers its membership amazing programs and events for personal and professional growth. We’re committed to member engagement and educational experiences that elevate our profession. This creates opportunities for us to engage new individuals to help our Chapter thrive. In addition, our board members enter a supportive environment in which to grow both personally and professionally.

We are looking for Chapter members who have experience in Communications, Social Media, Sponsorships, Partnerships and possibly nonprofit board service. We are creating a pipeline that allows for continual learning for you and the board. In addition, these roles may enable you to stretch and explore new skills. Please join us!
